Yellowstone National Park
RV Travels with Noah
On July 20, 2023 (the day before we sold our Maryland home) Cary and I set off in the RV with our grandson, Noah (7), to Yellowstone. Along the way we visited the Indianapolis 500 Speedway, the “Field of Dreams” in Iowa, the Corn Palace, the Mississippi River, the Badlands in S. Dakota, Spearfish S. Dakota (Fish Hatchery), and Cody, WY.
Noah is an excellent travel companion! He loves fishing, exploring, hiking, camping and assisting with pump out (haha). He’s hysterically funny and we eventually started keeping a list of “Noah-isms.” During one 110 degree day in the Badlands he jokingly said, “The best part is the blinding sun!” Another time when he noticed some candy on the ground he said, “You know, once you wipe the hair off, it all tastes the same.” He kept us laughing everyday and sat for hours on end during long stretches in the RV without ever complaining…he never once even asked, “Are we there yet?” He’s already planning next year’s RV trip (his idea) to go Salmon fishing in Canada and then a trip to Alaska.
Thirteen days later we met up with Cary’s sons Jason and Andy (Noah’s daddy) and our daughter-in-laws, Erin and Lizzy, and our other grandchildren, Lily (2), Angus (6) and Emmett (3).
