Nashville
The Ryman Auditorium
The Grand Ole Opry
Dec 16 – 19, 2020
No doubt…The Grand Ole Opry was a highlight of the trip!
But so was the awesome news that our dear friends’ granddaughter was born on the 17th! Baby Jayme Schwartz. She’s beautiful and healthy. We are thrilled for them!
We headed into Nashville and hung out at the Dierks Bentley bar and heard some local talent perform at the Valentines bar before we went to the Ryman Auditorium which was the original Grand Ole Opry. It was super cool to be inside the Ryman! We saw Jimmie Allen with a surprise guest, Darius Rucker.
The Grand Ole Opry
What a thrill! We had 4th row seats! The show is actually a live radio broadcast of the stage performances. An announcer was off to the side and in-between acts he announced the night’s advertisers.
We were there to see Chris Jansen and didn’t realize there would be a few short acts that preceded him. Each act was about 3 songs. The same happened for Chris Jansen. But we really weren’t disappointed because he was phenomenal as always and after all, it was The Opry!
